Zen
I miss the weekends…when it was actually still considered the weekend.
You know what I mean. When Sunday was purely Sunday. No work day. Just rest. Spend with the family and loved ones and friends. To not think about work, but leisure. Indulge in your hobbies. Have lazy Sunday mornings. Wake up late without guilt or worry. Think of yummy breakfasts. Hey! What about breakfast in bed? Sure, plenty of time to do that. Scrambled or poached? Spend the afternoon at the museum. Or why not drive the family to the park for a nice picnic. Mama, there is no need to cook. We’ll just eat out. Fly kites? We haven’t done that in a long time. Or go cycling! And yes, let’s visit grandmama. We miss her. Oh are you catching a movie with friends? Sounds great. Let’s catch the latest one. Hahaha…that was a very funny story. And chill out in the evening. A lovely stroll by the beach chatting. Or laze around on a couch watching that indie flick on dvd. Or fight it out on Wii. Maybe play a little chess. And when you’re home, you snuggle up in bed, no worries for tomorrow. Read a couple of chapters off that book you’re reading before you start nodding off. And you’re certain that when you sleep, you get eight gorgeous hours of sleep. Dream a pretty dream. Well rested, recharged and knowing the coming week will be perfect.
But here in NUS, there is no Sunday. Nosiree. I want my weekly Sundays.
It has been one exhausting crazy week. But fun! Main highlight was concrete casting. With a bunch of crazy people I love. The hard work was also somewhat a catharsis to what had been bothering me the past few weeks. Laughing, bitching singing, the whole she-bang, at 3AM in the morning. Nice. haha
So now I am on a different mindset. I now go ZEN. And I like that feeling. Hakuna matata. Que sera sera. Whatever will be will be. No questions. Just be. Just do. Why stress fret and worry? Zen is the only way to go. And that’s when things can get done. Peace out. I’m loving this.
I can’t wait for the concrete party tomorrow man. Please pass the cheese.
